Frequently Asked Questions

How often do I workout?

If you follow the Body for Life program as written, you will be working out 6 times per week — 3 cardio days and 3 strength training days. This is sometimes the biggest change for people starting the program. Please be aware though, that if you do the workouts as written, cardio days will take approx 20 minutes and the strength training approx 45 min. The program does not require that you spend hours in the gym but that your activity and workouts are consistent throughout the week.

What are the nutritional guidelines?

The nutritional guidelines follow very simple yet effective methods of healthy eating for improving body composition. Body for Life nutrition is not just another “diet,” but it provides methods of healthy eating that should be followed as a lifestyle beyond just the time period of the program. And just like the workouts, the nutritional guidelines should be followed 6 days a week leaving one day every week to eat whatever you want!

When do I do my workouts?

You can do your workouts any time during the day when it is best for you. The only scheduled workouts are the ones you will do with your personal trainer, and we have personal trainers that work all the hours that the facility is open. So finding one to meet your schedule will not be a problem. Boot camp classes are also offered with the Body for Life program. These classes are not mandatory, but are encouraged as they are a lot of fun, a great time to workout with fellow Body for Lifers, and a great workout. Body for Life Boot Camp is usually on Saturday afternoons (Time TBD).

What is the competition, and do I have to enter?

You do not have to enter the competition if it is not of interest to you, but striving to rise above the rest, can be a great motivation. Competition winners are provided with great prizes including gift certificates, exercise equipment, cash prizes and more! The winners are decided by a panel of judges based on a well-rounded view, considering before and after measurements, before and after pictures, a transformation essay, and overall accomplishment.
