HOT FUN IN THE SUMMER SUN – Teen Pool Party & Hawaiian Luau

Put on a Hawaiian shirt (or any ole t-shirt), grab your swimsuit, beach towel and suntan lotion. Next stop: JCC for hot fun in the summer fun. All teens are invited to enjoy the incredible outdoor pool facilities at the JCC! We’ll be having a Hawaiian luau with limbo dancing, karaoke, sun and swimming. See your all your old friends before school starts. - $5.00

Mystic Siren Woman's Voice in the Balance of Creation

The JCC welcomes back Vanessa Paloma!
Featuring Gloria Abella Ballen and Vanessa Paloma
Mystic Siren, written from a Jewish point of view yet applicable to all faiths, shows the relationships between women, song, water, spirituality, and the fullness of creation. Paloma gives an in-depth analysis of the lyrics of the Spanish-Jewish song La Serena and carries the idea further to teachings about the eternal kindness of God toward all humanity. Her mother, Gloria Abella Ballen, an internationally celebrated painter completes the work with magnificent illustrations which will be on display.

New Mexico Humanitarian Awards Dinner

Because of the overwhelming success of the Tribute Dinner, we have expanded the scope of the evening by acknowledging additional deserving honorees. We are proud to present the 2008 inaugural New Mexico Humanitarian Awards (NMHA) which will be held at Hotel Albuquerque in Old Town on August 21, 2008 at 6 p.m.
The Humanitarian Awards honor those people who have embodied an outstanding spirit of humanity in a local, national, or international capacity. The Harold B. Albert Award will continue to be one of the service awards presented at the NMHA Dinner. Through the success of this event, we will be able to continue providing outstanding programming for children - emphasizing intellectual stimulation and wellness of mind and body.
$150 per person/ $1500 per table
