Vanessa Montez
Group Fitness Instructor
Vanessa Montez was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. She is a licensed social worker and works at a local middle school. Vanessa trained with Beto Perez, the creator of Zumba, in December 2007, and is now a certified Zumba instructor. She moved to Albuquerque in April 2008 and quickly began teaching Zumba. She is excited to be teaching adults how to dance and exercise at the same time. Zumba is a new way of working out by using a mix of Latin and international music to create a dynamic, fun, and effective cardio workout. Zumba combines high energy and motivating music (salsa, merengue, cumbia, hip-hop, and more) with unique sensual and effective moves that allow the Zumba participants to dance away their worries. It is based on the principle that a workout should be “FUN, MOTIVATING AND EASY TO DO.”
